Teams - How to Start one
Starting a team is easy, but there are a number of important steps to be followed. Please note that all teams need to have a minimum of 7 paid players to be viable. If you do not have 7 players when registering your team, Atoms are happy to help out filling any spaces, and reserve the right to do so. As a Member of The Atoms Basketball club and The Camberwell District Basketball Association, you agree to abide by the CDBA Competition Rules, Policies and Basketball Victoria Codes of Conduct.
STARTING A TEAM FOR REGISTRATION:
For a PLAYER/TEAM to be eligible for any specified age group for the SUMMER SLAM or WINTER SEASON Competitions.
ALL players in the team must be under the age of the age group as of 31/12/2023Example Being:
TEAM AGE RANGES Age groups will be determined at age at 31/12/2023.Age groups and relevant dates as follows:
U9 Players born in 2015 or after.
U10 Players born in 2014 or after.
U12 Players born in 2012, 2013 or after.
U14 Players born in 2010, 2011 or after.
U16 Players born in 2008, 2009 or after.
U18 Players born in 2006, 2007 or after.
U22 Players born in 2002, 2003, 2004 or after.
FIRST, YOU MUST REGISTER AS A TEAM MANAGER
Go to the Team Managers Page. TEAM MANGERS LOGIN.
Fill in all of your details and submit to register as a manager.A committee member will authorise your application, and then you can register a new team (or request to be the replacement manager of an existing team).
TO CREATE YOUR TEAM:
The process is simple once you have a team managers login and then access to the MyTeam section of the website.
- Click "Add a New team" at the top - Fill in the details required- Add players to the team
- Submit your team for registration for the upcoming season.
